Representative
MPC Consulting
is currently recruiting for a Sales Representative
to develop a broad customer base throughout Vancouver Island to support
the Custom Panel Shop as well as the instrumentation, engineering, systems
integration and instrumentation software sales activities of MPC Consulting

Nature
of Work
This position reports directly to the President and functions in a dynamic
and changing environment. The position must establish new customers
and maintain existing customers in a variety of industries that are
involved in an automation process or, have the potential to become automated.
Achievement of these expectations will be achieved through industry
contacts, cold calls, trade shows, Internet research, presentations
and sales travel.
Experience
- 10
- 15 years of recent experience developing and maintaining a customer
base in the field of automation
- Proven
Experience generating new business prospects and close sales
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Technical
proficiency with, and knowledge of, our markets & products
- Develop
a marketing and sales plan to capture incremental revenue across multiple
customer segments in the geographical region of Vancouver Island
- Establish
and maintain relationships at all levels with existing customers,
driving incremental sales, leveraging sales, and presenting additional
value to our customers
- Achieve
and/or exceed sales targets on a quarterly basis
- Present
a clear understanding of business cycles, enterprise management, sales
and marketing initiatives as they relate to our core services
- Prospect
cold calling, and timely lead follow-up (must have no fear of cold
calls)
- Preparation
and editing of proposals, pricing, power point presentations, and
documents
- Ability
to work independently; be a self-starter, highly organized and motivated
- Excellent
communication (oral and written) and time management skills, with
demonstrated networking abilities
- Expert
knowledge of sales cycles, from opportunity identification through
to closure
- Demonstrated
track record of consistent achievement of sales targets
- Coordinate
sales effort closely with MPC's senior management
- Detailed
record keeping of all contact communications
- Fluency
in MS Office applications, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity
with CSA, UL and ISA standards
- Demonstrated
ability to foster long-term relationships with our clients based on
value, customer service and satisfaction
Control
Panel Technician
Custom
Panel Shop is currently recruiting for a Control Panel Technician
to work as part of our Engineering and Production team to construct,
test and document the manufacture of industrial electrical control panels.

The following is a list of duties and qualifications for this position:
Education
and Experience
- Technology
Diploma in Electronics or other relevant area and a minimum 3 years
of current and directly related experience.
- Demonstrated
experience in PLC wiring and installation
- Demonstrated
experience in electrical control panel layout
- Demonstrated
experience in assembly, testing, troubleshooting and repair of industrial
control panels
Knowledge
- Thorough
knowledge of installing electrical components and wiring in computer
controlled control panels
- Knowledge
of quality assurance processes an asset
- Knowledge
of CSA Standards
- Knowledge
of Canadian Electrical Code
Abilities
- Ability
to read electrical schematic drawings
- Demonstrated
ability to gather, interpret and analyze technical information in
order to verify conclusions and provide advice and recommendations
- Demonstrated
ability to work independently
- Demonstrated
ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing,
in a manner appropriate for the circumstances
- Ability
to prepare panel layouts and wiring schematics using AutoCAD
